Warmly congratulate Zhejiang Wuzhen Beizha Granary Exhibition Hall and Studio project won the Excellence Award in the 36th IALD International Lighting Design Awards which has just ended. WAC was honored to participate as one of the lighting fixture suppliers for this project, with the architectural design by LU Studio (Lu Xiang) and the lighting design by Zhang Xin Studio of Tsinghua University School of Architecture and LU Studio.

The customized spotlights for the art exhibition halls inside the plants are based on WAC's existing Paloma pro track spotlights, and are equipped with a system that can be lifted, stowed and hovered in any position, which has been granted a utility model patent. It ensures the flexibility of artwork display lighting in each building, while presenting the beauty of the original roof structure and material texture. The roof structure of each exhibition hall is different, and the track spotlight system takes into full consideration the reasonable angle of illumination on artworks, avoidance of spatial sight, dimming and convenience of maintenance. In the special exhibition hall, the track spotlights are arranged in such a way that the exhibition lighting does not visually interfere with the internal structure, and these spotlights can be lifted, stowed and hovered in any position to avoid glare and shadow when lighting close-up of low-level exhibits. In the interior of the exhibition hall transformed from an old factory building, the linear luminaires hidden in the two side walls illuminate the roof, presenting the original roof structure with soft indirect light.
